Description:

Gurobi Optimization is seeking a Cloud Backend Developer to enhance their platform's diverse components and services.
The role involves being part of the Gurobi Platform Team, responsible for critical elements such as the Gurobi SaaS Instant Cloud, optimization application demos, Gurobi Compute Server, Web License Service, and Gurobi User Portal.
Responsibilities include implementing, testing, and packaging backend components with a focus on code quality, reusability, performance, and scalability.
The developer will contribute to Cloud monitoring architecture and processes, investigate new Cloud services, and develop Helm charts, Kubernetes components, IaC scripts, and backend components.
Collaboration with a team of software developers is essential, following agile methodology, and troubleshooting scalability and performance issues.
Staying updated with the latest trends in development tools, Cloud technologies, and practices is also required.

Requirements:

Candidates should have 5+ years of hands-on experience in backend and Cloud development.
A Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience is required.
Certifications in Cloud and container technologies (AWS, Azure, Kubernetes) are advantageous.
Proficiency in Node.js/JavaScript is required, with Go being a plus.
Candidates must be proficient in Cloud services (AWS, Azure) and solution design, including networking, provisioning, containers, lambda functions, load balancers, and monitoring.
Proficiency in container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and designing/utilizing REST APIs is necessary.
A good understanding of MongoDB or similar document-based databases is required.
Familiarity with agile methodologies, such as Scrum, and CI/CD processes, including tools like Jenkins and Groovy, is beneficial.
Fluent English communication skills are essential.
