Description:
The Cloud Data Solutions Architect is responsible for transforming transactional and third-party data into data products.
These self-service data assets are utilized by BI Developers, Data Scientists, and Analysts across AssistRx to gain insights, make predictions, and provide recommendations.
The role involves translating business requirements into understandable data models used by various subject areas.
The architect will have hands-on experience in designing and implementing data warehousing solutions on cloud platforms, focusing on data ingestion, integration, transformation, reporting applications, custom analytics, and data migration from on-premises to cloud infrastructure.
The position requires improving existing systems by identifying gaps and collaborating with the team and stakeholders to scope and prioritize solutions.
The architect will develop and implement large-scale data warehouses, Business Intelligence, and Master Data Management solutions, including Data Lakes and Data Vaults.
Collaboration with product teams, data analysts, and engineering teams is essential to build foundational data sets that are trusted, well understood, and aligned with business strategy.
The role also includes productionizing cloud data solutions with responsibilities in administration, configuration management, monitoring, debugging, and performance tuning.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Math, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field with 6+ years of experience in business analytics, data science, software development, data modeling, or data engineering work is required.
Alternatively, a Master's Degree in the same fields with 4+ years of relevant experience is acceptable, or equivalent experience.
Hands-on experience with Snowflake administration is required, and SnoPro certification is preferred.
Candidates should have data management experience, including Master Data Management, Reference Data Management, Data Governance, Data Integration, and Data Security.
Experience with related or complementary open-source software platforms and languages such as Java, Linux, Apache, Perl/Python/PHP, and Chef is necessary.
Hands-on experience with ETL tools like Informatica, Talend, dbt, or Azure Data Factory is required.
Knowledge and hands-on experience with BI tools and reporting software such as Cognos, Power BI, or Tableau are essential.
Familiarity with the Big Data stack, including Snowflake (Snowpark), SPARK, MapReduce, Hadoop, Sqoop, Pig, HBase, Hive, and Flume is required.
