Description:

  • We are looking for a specialist to join a project for a client in the entertainment industry and collaborate with a team from Los Angeles.
  • The work hours are from 3 PM to 11 PM CET, ensuring direct communication and effective collaboration with the team in the USA.
  • The role involves supporting the client in making key and strategic technological decisions in the Data area.
  • You will conduct research and development on the functionality and applicability of new technologies and tools in the client's business solutions.
  • Regular contact with decision-makers in the Data area on the client side (VP, IT Director) is expected.
  • You will create Proof of Concepts (PoC) in the Data area to showcase the results of R&D efforts.
  • Collaboration with other team members on implementing the latest cloud solutions for the client's strategic projects is required.
  • The position includes designing and creating the entire data processing platform, considering all its components and connections with other solutions (e.g., BI and ML) within the cloud ecosystem.
  • You will manage the entire process of creating Big Data solutions, from analyzing business requirements to designing technical architecture, testing, deployment, and creating data flow documentation.
  • Optimizing overall data storage and analysis solutions/systems is part of the role.
  • Understanding business requirements and translating them into designed solutions is essential.
  • Maintaining relationships with the technical team on the client side is necessary.
  • You will work with the team leader to set expectations and develop team members.
  • Coordinating the work of engineers involved in creating the solution is expected.
  • You will oversee the entire project from start to finish.
  • Excellent collaboration with other architects and developers is crucial.
  • Creating technical documentation to ensure the development of cloud data processing systems is part of the job.

Requirements:

  • You must have at least 7 years of experience in IT, including a minimum of 5 years working with cloud data (confirmed by commercially implemented projects).
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a Lead Developer/Architect role or similar is required.
  • You should have knowledge of Data services in Azure, particularly ADF, Data Lake, Azure SQL Server, Synapse, and Power BI.
  • A strong understanding of Databricks is necessary.
  • Familiarity with tools, mechanisms, and processes such as CI/CD, Azure DevOps, and Git is required.
  • You must be able to create and modify data models and select the appropriate model for the problem being solved (DWH, Data Marts, Data Lake, Delta Lake, Data Lakehouse).
  • Knowledge of Lambda and Kappa architectures is essential.
  • Experience working with Python is required.
  • You should know how to build solutions for data analysis in "near to real-time" mode.
  • Monitoring, diagnostics, and troubleshooting in the cloud should not be a problem for you, and you should know how to plan infrastructure and calculate its costs.
  • Knowledge of migrating on-premise solutions to the cloud and understanding basic types of migration is necessary.
  • You should know how to apply mechanisms related to the secure storage and processing of data in the cloud.
  • Strategic and analytical thinking, good self-organization, independence, adaptability, communication skills, and proactivity are essential traits.
  • Proficiency in English at an advanced level (minimum C1) and the ability to communicate fluently in Polish are required.
