Description:
The position is for a Cloud DevOps Engineer working remotely from a nearshore location (Europe, Latin America, or other low-cost regions near the U.S.).
The role is full-time and offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience.
The company is a fast-growing Fintech startup focused on revolutionizing the Trade Finance industry through innovative, cloud-native technology.
The engineer will design, build, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure, aiming to create a multi-cloud environment that includes Azure.
Responsibilities include developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for rapid, reliable, and secure deployments.
The engineer will implement and manage serverless technologies such as AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, and Aurora Serverless.
The role involves using Terraform and Helm to define infrastructure as code and support container orchestration.
Automating operational tasks and cloud workflows using Python scripting is a key responsibility.
The engineer will monitor cloud environments for performance, availability, and cost optimization.
Best practices in cloud security, compliance, and governance will be applied.
Collaboration with developers and product teams is essential to ensure infrastructure aligns with application needs.
Participation in on-call rotations and incident response is required to ensure high system reliability.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 3+ years of experience in a DevOps or Cloud Engineering role.
Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services such as Lambda, S3, ECS/EKS, RDS, IAM, and CloudWatch is required.
Familiarity with Azure cloud services is considered a plus.
Advanced knowledge of Linux systems and shell scripting is necessary.
Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation is required.
Deep experience with Terraform, Helm, and managing Kubernetes clusters is essential.
A solid background in CI/CD pipeline development using tools like Circle CI or Jenkins is required.
Understanding of monitoring, logging, and alerting tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK is necessary.
Experience with secure cloud architecture and implementation of best practices in cloud security is required.
