Description:

  • The position is for a Cloud DevOps Engineer working remotely from a nearshore location (Europe, Latin America, or other low-cost regions near the U.S.).
  • The role is full-time and offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience.

  • The engineer will design, build, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure, aiming to create a multi-cloud environment that includes Azure.
  • Responsibilities include developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for rapid, reliable, and secure deployments.
  • The engineer will implement and manage serverless technologies such as AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, and Aurora Serverless.
  • The role involves using Terraform and Helm to define infrastructure as code and support container orchestration.
  • Automating operational tasks and cloud workflows using Python scripting is a key responsibility.
  • The engineer will monitor cloud environments for performance, availability, and cost optimization.
  • Best practices in cloud security, compliance, and governance will be applied.
  • Collaboration with developers and product teams is essential to ensure infrastructure aligns with application needs.
  • Participation in on-call rotations and incident response is required to ensure high system reliability.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 3+ years of experience in a DevOps or Cloud Engineering role.
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services such as Lambda, S3, ECS/EKS, RDS, IAM, and CloudWatch is required.
  • Familiarity with Azure cloud services is considered a plus.
  • Advanced knowledge of Linux systems and shell scripting is necessary.
  • Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation is required.
  • Deep experience with Terraform, Helm, and managing Kubernetes clusters is essential.
  • A solid background in CI/CD pipeline development using tools like Circle CI or Jenkins is required.
  • Understanding of monitoring, logging, and alerting tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK is necessary.
  • Experience with secure cloud architecture and implementation of best practices in cloud security is required.
