The Cloud Engineer will report to the Director of Platform Engineering and Operations and will work closely with customers and the product development team.
The primary responsibilities include designing, provisioning, and engineering environments for customers, acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for deploying and managing DevOps tools in the Cloud.
The role involves creating reusable code for automation and ongoing monitoring that can be integrated into the product.
Key tasks include cloud infrastructure design and deployment, automation using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), monitoring and optimization, implementing DevOps best practices, and ensuring security and compliance.
The Cloud Engineer will also provide technical leadership, support, and create comprehensive documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 4+ years of experience in a Cloud engineering role with a proven track record in designing, deploying, and maintaining cloud infrastructure solutions.
A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline is required, with AWS certification preferred.
Direct experience in designing, implementing, and supporting DevOps solutions and cloud infrastructure is essential.
Extensive experience with cloud-native development and a deep understanding of cloud infrastructure architectures is necessary.
Solid hands-on experience with container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes is required.
Experience with complex event processing and event-driven architectures is needed.
Strong expertise in implementing CI/CD pipelines with practical experience in tools like Jenkins, GitHub, and SonarSource is essential.
A thorough understanding of microservice design and architectural patterns is required.
Advanced skills in scripting and automation technologies (e.g., Python, Terraform, CloudFormation) are necessary.
Proven experience in migrating on-premises environments to public cloud platforms, particularly AWS and Azure, is required.
Candidates should have deep experience in monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues.
Familiarity with open-source technologies and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams is essential.
Strong leadership experience in designing and operating cloud infrastructure solutions is required.
