Description:

Omilia is seeking an Experienced Cloud Engineer with cloud platform experience to join their team.
The role involves designing, operating, and maintaining production clusters while collaborating with team members to develop automation strategies and deployment processes.
The position is fully remote.
Responsibilities include maintaining AWS and Azure hosted infrastructure, monitoring and proactively planning infrastructure aspects, and liaising with internal and external parties to improve performance and reliability.
The engineer must anticipate challenges, question existing technologies and procedures, and constantly review and challenge at all levels.
A strong eagerness to learn new tools and techniques is essential, as the company relies on AWS, Azure, Docker Swarm, Kubernetes, Gitlab CI, Jenkins, and Terraform.
The role requires a versatile approach, working with agile/lean methods and focusing on engineering excellence to improve infrastructure.
Team collaboration is crucial, involving product, experience design, engineering, and more.

Requirements:

A Bachelor's Degree or MS in Engineering or equivalent is required.
A minimum of 2 years of working experience in a similar role is necessary.
Experience in operating a container orchestration cluster, specifically Kubernetes and Docker Swarm, is required.
Proficiency with AWS and Terraform is essential.
Familiarity with Continuous Integration tools such as Gitlab CI, Jenkins, and Argo CD is required.
Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, or Go are necessary.
Working knowledge of Configuration Management tools, particularly Ansible, is required.
Experience with Cloud Security Services, Linux Administration (RedHat, CentOS), basic RDBMS knowledge (MySQL, Postgres), and basic NoSQL knowledge (Redis) will be considered a plus.
