Remote Cloud Engineer

Description:

• The Cloud Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and expanding the AWS and Azure hosted infrastructure, including monitoring, planning, and configuring aspects of the infrastructure.
• They will need to collaborate with internal and external parties to enhance performance and reliability, and be prepared to address outages outside of regular business hours.
• The role requires thinking proactively, anticipating challenges, and constantly reviewing and challenging existing technologies and procedures.
• The individual should have expertise in AWS, Azure, Docker Swarm, Kubernetes, Gitlab CI, Jenkins, and Terraform, with a willingness to learn new tools and techniques.
• Working with agile/lean methods, the Cloud Engineer will focus on engineering excellence, continuously improving infrastructure, and leveraging cloud capabilities.
• Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including product, experience design, and engineering, is essential for success in this role.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree or MS in Engineering or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Proficiency in operating a container orchestration cluster (Kubernetes, Docker Swarm).
• Experience with AWS, Continuous Integration tools (Gitlab CI, Jenkins, Argo CD), Terraform, and strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, or Go).
• Additional experience in Cloud Security Services, Linux Administration (RedHat, CentOS), Configuration Management tools (Ansible), RDBMS (MySQL, Postgres), NoSQL (Redis), Telephony (SIP, VoIP), and ELK will be considered a plus.
