Description:
The Cloud Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and expanding the AWS and Azure hosted infrastructure, including monitoring, planning, and configuring aspects of the infrastructure.
They will need to collaborate with internal and external parties to enhance performance and reliability, and be prepared to address outages outside of regular business hours.
The role requires thinking proactively, anticipating challenges, and constantly reviewing and challenging existing technologies and procedures.
The individual should have expertise in AWS, Azure, Docker Swarm, Kubernetes, Gitlab CI, Jenkins, and Terraform, with a willingness to learn new tools and techniques.
Working with agile/lean methods, the Cloud Engineer will focus on engineering excellence, continuously improving infrastructure, and leveraging cloud capabilities.
Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including product, experience design, and engineering, is essential for success in this role.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree or MS in Engineering or equivalent.
2+ years of experience in a similar role.
Proficiency in operating a container orchestration cluster (Kubernetes, Docker Swarm).
Experience with AWS, Continuous Integration tools (Gitlab CI, Jenkins, Argo CD), Terraform, and strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, or Go).
Additional experience in Cloud Security Services, Linux Administration (RedHat, CentOS), Configuration Management tools (Ansible), RDBMS (MySQL, Postgres), NoSQL (Redis), Telephony (SIP, VoIP), and ELK will be considered a plus.
