Remote Cloud Engineer

Description:

• Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure and services on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Work closely with development and operations teams to ensure applications are scalable, reliable, and secure.
• Automate deployments, monitor system performance, and conduct rigorous testing to maintain high standards of quality.
• Develop and maintain codebases in Python following best practices.
• Utilize Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and automation.
• Collaborate with other engineers for version control and use GitHub Actions for CI/CD pipelines.
• Create and execute automated tests to ensure application reliability and performance.
• Monitor and optimize system performance and ensure cloud resource availability.

Requirements:

• More than 4 years of experience as a Cloud Engineer with a focus on setting strategy and defining ways of working.
• Proficiency in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services.
• Strong Python skills.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code.
• Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and methodologies.
• Experience in agile software development, CI/CD, and deployment strategies.
• Adaptability and flexibility in dealing with change and ambiguity.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Bachelor's or higher degree in computer science or equivalent.
• Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Aiven Kafka, GCP services like Apigee, and Locust is a plus.
