Remote Cloud Engineer, Azure, Contract

Description:

• 66degrees is seeking a senior contractor for a 3-month remote assignment with the potential to extend.
• Candidates must be able to work independently as well as within a team environment.
• The position requires joining by mid of the 4th week of October 2024.
• The role involves designing, deploying, and managing cloud-based infrastructure with a focus on Azure.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 5+ years of hands-on experience with cloud platforms.
• A minimum of 3+ years of Azure experience, including Azure DevOps, is required.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Deployment Manager is necessary.
• Candidates should be skilled in scripting languages such as Python and Bash for automation and configuration management.
• Proficiency in managing both Linux and Windows operating systems is required.
• A strong grasp of security best practices and compliance frameworks (e.g., CIS, GDPR, HIPAA) is essential.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration abilities are required.
• A passion for technology and continuous learning is preferred, along with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• A background in professional services or consulting is preferred.
• Strong communication skills and eagerness to work in a collaborative environment are necessary.
