Remote Cloud Engineer, Colombia

Description:

• Furnished Finder is seeking a Cloud Engineer to join their team, preferably located in Colombia or available for remote work.
• The company is a leading platform for monthly housing rentals, trusted by over 240,000 landlords and connecting with over 15 million travelers annually.
• The role involves designing, implementing, and managing robust, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure on AWS using various technologies such as Docker, ECS, Lambda, IAM, Control Tower, and CloudWatch.
• Responsibilities include managing and optimizing deployment pipelines with GitHub, Terraform, and Atlassian tools, developing automated tools for monitoring cloud and service health, and proactively solving problems related to system performance.
• The Cloud Engineer will collaborate with engineering, product, and operations teams to align cloud infrastructure with business goals, integrate third-party services, enforce cloud security best practices, and participate in on-call rotations to respond to system alerts.
• Documentation of cloud architectures, service configurations, and operational runbooks is also a key responsibility.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 4+ years of experience in cloud engineering, services engineering, or a similar role in a cloud-based environment.
• Proven expertise with AWS cloud services, Terraform, GitHub, and related technologies is required.
• Hands-on experience with AWS networking best practices and technologies, including ALBs, ELBs, Transit Gateways, VPCs, NATs, and Security Groups, is essential.
• A deep understanding of overall cloud architecture principles, service integration, CI/CD/CO, and incident management is necessary.
• Candidates should have hands-on experience with GitHub and Atlassian tools for managing deployments and operations.
• Strong scripting and automation skills to streamline cloud operations and service delivery are required.
• Experience in developing web services in programming languages such as TypeScript, C#, Java, or Go is needed.
• A C1 English level (spoken and written) is mandatory.
