Description:
The Cloud Engineer II (CEII) position at Trace3 Gov involves providing engineering and transformation expertise to modernize cloud environments.
Responsibilities include designing solutions for cloud modernization, planning, reviewing requirements, and developing secure cloud-based solutions.
The engineer must possess exceptional problem-solving skills and a deep understanding of the code base to proactively identify and resolve issues.
The role requires staying current with best practices and industry standards, making recommendations as necessary.
Key responsibilities include providing expertise in cloud engineering services, supporting cloud migrations and architecture, and managing cloud security and application migrations.
The engineer will perform reviews of cloud migration initiatives, define integration requirements, and deliver cloud solutions across multiple environments.
Additional tasks include cloud user management, security, capacity monitoring, and configuring application development tools.
The engineer will conduct root cause analysis, improve current infrastructure solutions, and analyze, design, implement, and operate cloud infrastructure with a focus on security, resiliency, and scalability.
Participation in infrastructure solution evaluations and cloud resource optimization is also required.
The role involves investigating and testing new cloud technologies, providing systems metrics, and documenting procedures and configuration changes.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 1-3 years of demonstrated Cloud Engineering experience.
Experience with CI/CD, containerization, and Fargate is required.
Applicants should have experience in providing systems metrics, root cause analysis, and proactive monitoring.
A Security+ Certification or the ability to obtain it within a month of starting is necessary.
An AWS Associate or Professional certification or the ability to obtain it within a month of starting is also required.
Candidates must be able to pass a DoD background check and obtain a PIV access card.
A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Math is preferred, or equivalent years of professional experience.
Benefits:
The position offers a salary range of $130,000 - $145,000 per year.
