Description:

  • As the Cloud Engineer II, you will be an experienced systems administrator eager to grow your technological skills on a global stage.
  • You will protect critical information, systems, and assets, build solutions, implement new software and hardware, provide training, and assist in the development of an overall IT strategy.
  • You will help empower breakthrough innovations, be given challenging assignments, lead initiatives, and take ownership of various components.
  • Your day-to-day responsibilities will include designing, deploying, and managing public and private cloud infrastructure and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • You will monitor and optimize cloud performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency, implement and manage security measures, and automate cloud operations using scripting and infrastructure-as-code tools.
  • You will collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of cloud services and troubleshoot cloud-related issues.
  • Staying updated with the latest cloud technologies and documenting cloud and system configurations will also be part of your role.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in cloud engineering or a related field is required.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and services is essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows servers and services is necessary.
  • You must have proficiency in scripting and automation tools (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Terraform).
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills are required, along with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect) are highly desirable.
  • You must demonstrate self-reliance, a positive attitude, concern for students, teamwork, and excellent time management skills.
  • The ability to work independently with limited supervision and adapt to work under pressure is crucial.
  • You must support and embrace the College’s B Corp mission and have strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
