Description:

• As a Cloud Engineer III (CEIII), you will provide engineering and transformation expertise to modernize the environment.
• You will be responsible for solutions design of the modernization cloud environment.
• The role involves working with a team to plan, review requirements, design, and develop optimal and secure cloud-based solutions.
• You must possess exceptional problem-solving skills and a deep understanding of the code base to identify and resolve issues proactively.
• Staying current with best practices and industry standards is essential, along with making recommendations as needed.
• Responsibilities include providing expertise in Cloud Engineering services, supporting Cloud migrations and architecture, Active Directory, Cloud Security, and Cloud Application migrations.
• You will perform reviews of cloud migration, adoption initiatives, IaaS, PaaS, and cloud-native solutions enablement.
• Defining requirements for integrations and delivering Cloud Solutions across multiple environments to meet business needs is part of the job.
• You will manage Cloud user management, security, capacity, monitoring, and configuring app development tools.
• Performing root cause analysis and improving current infrastructure solutions is expected.
• You will analyze, design, implement, and operate cloud infrastructure and integrated technologies with a focus on security, resiliency, and scalability within a hybrid IT environment.
• Participation in existing and new infrastructure solution evaluations is required.
• Cloud resource optimization, including design, provisioning, configuring, testing, and implementation, is part of your responsibilities.
• You will provide cloud solution engineering, design, migration, and support for both planned and unplanned outages.
• Investigating and testing new cloud technologies to meet or exceed user expectations is essential.
• You will provide systems metrics, root cause analysis, and proactive monitoring.
• Documenting all required procedures and configuration changes to production systems clearly is necessary.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 3-5 years of demonstrated Cloud Engineering experience is required.
• Strong experience in CI/CD, Containerization, and Fargate is necessary.
• You must have strong experience with configuration management.
• Experience with root cause analysis and proactive monitoring is required.
• An AWS Architect certification is REQUIRED.
• A Security+ Certification or the ability to obtain it within a month of starting is necessary.
• You must be able to pass a DoD Background check and obtain a PIV access card.
• A Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or Math) is preferred, or equivalent years of professional experience.
