Description:

  • The position is for a Cloud Engineer, working remotely from the United Kingdom.
  • You will be responsible for managing, securing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure.
  • Your role includes ensuring the availability and performance of mission-critical cloud environments.
  • You will collaborate with development teams to address needs and resolve technical challenges.
  • Responsibilities involve continuous monitoring, incident resolution, and optimizing cloud service offerings for cost and performance.
  • You will handle cloud security, compliance, and configuration management.
  • Keeping documentation up to date and ensuring the environment remains secure and compliant with industry standards is essential.
  • Daily tasks include managing availability, monitoring, maintenance, and incident response for cloud infrastructure.
  • You will operate, secure, and manage AWS and Azure cloud environments in line with company security guidelines.
  • Integrating and troubleshooting third-party tools and services used for cloud management and auditing is part of the job.
  • You will create, delete, and manage cloud accounts and root credentials.
  • Continuous evaluation of cloud pricing and service offerings for cost optimization and performance improvements is required.
  • Collaborating with development teams to identify unmet needs and assist with security, SIEM rule development, and configuration issues is expected.
  • Maintaining up-to-date process documentation for the entire cloud environment and ensuring compliance with security policies is crucial.

Requirements:

  • You must have at least two years of experience managing large cloud environments, specifically in AWS and Azure.
  • Proficiency in operating, securing, and managing AWS and Azure cloud environments is required.
  • Familiarity with common compliance standards such as CIS, ISO, GDPR, and FedRAMP is necessary.
  • AWS or Azure certifications are preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure issues are essential.
  • Knowledge of cloud security practices and the ability to define and enforce policies to ensure security, uptime, and availability is required.
