Description:
A leading online bookstore and market services for educational institutions in the United States is looking for a Cloud Engineer.
The company's product is a full-service online solution that allows significant savings on textbooks and other learning materials, providing control to administrators and teachers.

The position allows for remote work from anywhere in the world as part of a close-knit team.
Responsibilities include ensuring high availability and stability of systems, collaborating with engineering teams on deployment and availability issues, and providing technical support services.
The Cloud Engineer will monitor production systems for maximum uptime and performance, manage system resources, and provide initial assessments for production issues.
The role requires expertise in Cloud Systems, Databases, and Kubernetes, as well as exploring new technologies to maintain competitiveness.
Requirements:
A minimum of 3 years of experience designing, developing, and delivering Cloud infrastructure solutions for enterprise-scale app development and integration projects is required.
A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science is mandatory.
Proficiency in Russian at B1 level and English at B2 level is required.
Experience in designing, building, and supporting multi-regional IaaS/PaaS solutions on GCP or AWS is a plus.
Experience in cloud automation, configuration management, and deployment of infrastructures as code using Terraform, Python, and Puppet is preferred.
Familiarity with scripting or programming languages, preferably Python, Go, or Bash, is beneficial.
Knowledge of security processes and standards in multi-tier cloud or hybrid applications is advantageous.
Familiarity with network, application, and information security principles is a plus.
Experience with container platforms such as Kubernetes or Docker is desirable.
Understanding of software engineering principles, including DevOps, CI/CD pipeline, and test automation, is beneficial.
