Remote Cloud Engineer - Unstructured Data

Description:

• Sand Cherry Associates is seeking a seasoned cloud engineer with exceptional experience in designing and optimizing unstructured data within a MS Azure environment.
• This role will support Sand Cherry clients with MS Azure and data governance and process needs, both in administrative and development functions.
• Responsibilities include the design, structure, and maintenance of data.
• The engineer will determine end user requirements for data usage, including analytics and visualization.
• Ensuring the accuracy and accessibility of data relevant to the client’s organization is a key responsibility.
• The role supports MS Azure database needs and relational databases.
• The engineer will identify and create connections to relevant data sources from within the organization as well as third-party sources, including government data sources.
• Assisting in defining how data will be stored, consumed, integrated, and managed by different data entities is essential.
• The engineer will assess existing data architecture and data management processes to determine gaps and means of optimization.
• Creating vision and documenting resource requirements for organizational structure to support all phases of client data initiatives is required.
• Defining supplemental data collection methods, including manual survey processes, is part of the role.
• The engineer will define user access models for internal and public models and techniques to allow user inquiry and presentation of quantitative and visual findings from data analytics.
• Creating effective quality and data integrity standards and processes is also a responsibility.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.
• The candidate must have 5-7 years of experience in data management and database architecture.
• Proficiency in using MS Azure is required.
• Experience with SQL, XML, and Azure Dev Ops is necessary.
• Proficiency with data governance processes is essential.
• The candidate should have proficiency in ETL and ELT tools and techniques.
• Excellent scripting and programming skills, such as Python and R, are required.
• The candidate must have a proven ability to work with team members cross-functionally.
• Proven ability to document and adhere to business requirements is necessary.
• The candidate should have a proven ability to communicate with clients at any level.
• Proven business acumen is required.
• A data-oriented, well-organized personality is essential.
• The ability to work independently is necessary.
