Description:
The Cloud Governance Engineer position is a remote, full-time role based in the USA.
The role involves collaborating closely with a small team of world-class employees to drive personal and organizational growth.
The engineer will be responsible for building cloud scale automation using Turbot Guardrails, Turbot Pipes, and open-source projects like Steampipe, along with Python and Terraform.
The position requires a deep understanding of Turbot’s products to articulate complex cloud security and management best practices to both technical and non-technical users.
The engineer will direct global enterprise customers in best practices for managing multiple AWS, Azure, and GCP production cloud environments.
Responsibilities include improving code examples and documentation, training end-users, and optimizing customer configurations based on best practices.
The role also involves engaging with customers to understand their needs and using those insights to enhance Turbot products.
Collaboration with the product team is essential to translate customer needs into technical solutions.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 7+ years of experience in a cloud platform engineering role, preferably within a large, regulated IT organization.
A minimum of 2+ years of direct experience in managing or building CSPM, Cloud Governance, Cloud Management, Cloud Security, Cloud Operations, or related cybersecurity tooling is required.
Applicants should possess deep technical knowledge and hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.
Experience with cloud-native networking, identity, and security services is essential.
Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation, with experience deploying large-scale cloud platform architectures across multiple cloud service accounts, is necessary.
Candidates should be skilled in scripting languages like Python and Shell.
A solid understanding of compliance and security control frameworks, including CIS, NIST, HIPAA, and PCI, is required.
Excellent communication skills and a passion for working with customers and collaborating with colleagues are essential.
