Remote Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Description:

• As a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will design, implement, support, and maintain cloud infrastructure solutions for the organization's applications and services.
• You will ensure the reliability, security, and performance of systems through operational activities that align with industry best practices.
• Key responsibilities include administering and supporting the Azure cloud computing platform, configuring, monitoring, and maintaining Azure services such as virtual machines, AKS, Managed SQL Instances, and Logic Apps.
• You will implement and support cloud network and security services including Azure Firewall, Network Security Groups, Azure Private Networking, DNS, Application Gateway, and Azure Front Door.
• You will contribute to disaster recovery planning and ensure environment backups complete successfully.
• The role involves administering and supporting M365 collaboration and productivity tools including Exchange, Teams, Teams Telephony, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
• You will configure and support Cisco network hardware, Microsoft’s Power Platform, and email APIs such as SendGrid.
• Responding to security alerts to eradicate threats within the environment and investigating email phishing alert reports will be part of your duties.
• You will remediate vulnerability findings and continuously evaluate security posture against best practices.
• Onboarding and offboarding user accounts and application authentication using EntraID, along with performing regular access audits, will be required.
• You will lead and contribute to various infrastructure improvement projects and initiatives.
• Provisioning new environments after performing the appropriate research and due diligence to ensure compliance with security, performance, and governance standards is expected.
• Monitoring infrastructure services to identify and resolve issues, outages, and poor performance will be part of your responsibilities.
• Participation in on-call rotation and performing off-hours support and maintenance as required is necessary.
• You will contribute to and maintain technical and procedural documentation, runbooks, and system architectural diagrams.
• Staying informed on emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure infrastructure remains up to date is essential.
• You will perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
• A minimum of 5 years' experience in Information Technology roles is necessary.
• Proven experience in Azure cloud infrastructure management is essential.
• Proven experience configuring and administering M365 collaboration tools, particularly Exchange, Teams, and SharePoint, is required.
• Advanced knowledge of security and network protocols is necessary.
• Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions is required.
• Experience with automation and scripting, particularly PowerShell, is essential.
• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, or CCNA are a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills are required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary.
• A demonstrated ability to prioritize workload effectively while working independently is essential.
