Description:

The AWS Cloud Migration Engineer will assist clients in migrating from on-premises infrastructure or VMC to AWS cloud native services.
This role involves working with a technical leader to implement, manage, and migrate workloads to AWS cloud environments.
The engineer will maintain optimal migration strategies for diverse application portfolios.
Responsibilities include utilizing AWS-native services, containerization, serverless architectures, and advanced analytics capabilities to modernize and migrate applications.
The engineer will lead clients through the Assess, Mobilize, and Migrate phases of an AWS MAP migration.
The position reports to the Sr Director, Cloud & Migration.
Daily tasks include planning, executing, and optimizing cloud migration projects on the AWS platform.
The engineer will leverage expertise in AWS migration tools and methodologies to ensure successful migrations.
Technical leadership and mentorship will be provided to customer engineers adopting AWS services.

Requirements:

A minimum of 4 years of experience developing AWS cloud infrastructure is required.
At least 2 years of hands-on experience with AWS migration services such as AWS Migration Hub (MGN), Database Migration Service (DMS), and AWS Cloud Migration Services is necessary.
Solid experience in planning and executing cloud migration projects, particularly on the AWS platform, is essential.
Proficiency in developing Infrastructure-as-Code using tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation is required.
The ability to work with multiple clients in parallel is necessary.
Experience with AWS core services and infrastructure components is required.
Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash is necessary.
A minimum of 2 years of experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation is required.
