Description:

The position is for a Cloud Operations Engineer with a client located in the Tampa area.
This is a contract role paying between $50 and $55 per hour, with a duration of 6 months and a potential conversion salary of $108,000.
The work is remote, based in the state of Florida.
Candidates must have work authorization as a U.S. citizen or Green Card holder.
The role requires CJIS Certification, at least one associate-level AWS certification, and a Linux Certification (preferably RHEL Admin).
Candidates should have 4-10 years of experience, including a minimum of 2 years in AWS.
Required experience includes AWS EC2 (Amazon Linux and RedHat are must-haves, while Windows Server is highly desired) and ELB (Application and Network load balancer).
Familiarity with AWS Storage and System Manager Services is necessary.
Candidates must have experience with patching and automation, as well as with Systems Manager Node, Change Management, and Operations tools.
Experience in implementing AWS Cloud Monitoring and Alerting with CloudWatch for EC2, ELB, EFS, EBS, and RDS is required.
AWS Backup and Disaster Recovery implementation experience is also necessary.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash and experience using Git are required.
