Description:

Geoforce is seeking a Cloud Ops Engineer to join their DevOps team, which is expanding due to business growth and modernization efforts.
The role involves assisting in various infrastructure operations and production engineering projects.
The candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining infrastructure that supports the company's core products.
Collaboration with developer and product teams to gather project requirements is essential.
The engineer will also need to comprehend code to assist in debugging production issues.

Requirements:

The candidate must have excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
A solid understanding of networking is required.
The candidate should have a solid understanding of Windows Systems Administration.
Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycles (SDLCs) and deploying software in production environments is necessary.
The ability to discuss business concerns and relate them to technological issues is essential.
Preferred qualifications include familiarity with working in an Agile environment and a security background with experience applying it within DevOps best practices.
Experience with logging and monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana is preferred.
Nice-to-have qualifications include experience maintaining Microsoft SQL Server, working with feature environment infrastructure for teams, and direct experience in software development.
The candidate should have experience with Azure Cloud or another major cloud provider, EntraID, Docker containers, and Git.
Experience managing infrastructure as code or configuration as code, preferably with Terraform, is required.
The ability to write scripts in a shell scripting language (Powershell/Bash) is necessary.
Experience with relational databases (MSSQL or PostgreSQL) and using Kubernetes in production environments (AKS/EKS and Helm) is required.
The candidate should have experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and packaging software in various languages (C#, Typescript, Python, Java, etc.).
