Description:

  • As a Cloud Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining Kafka messaging clusters to support application pub/sub requirements.
  • You will collaborate closely with application teams to translate their needs into scalable and maintainable services.
  • The role involves optimizing performance around messaging platforms within applications.
  • You will contribute to the build and operation of Kubernetes (K8s) clusters and cloud environments.
  • Leveraging application observability platforms to enhance system reliability and performance will be part of your responsibilities.
  • A data-driven approach to troubleshooting and decision-making for platform operations is essential.
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements:

  • You must have 4+ years of relevant work experience in cloud platform engineering or related fields.
  • Expertise in building and managing Kafka clusters, with proven experience in pub/sub messaging systems, is required.
  • Strong programming skills in Python or C++ are necessary, with alternatives being Java or Node.js.
  • A solid understanding of cloud platforms, ideally AWS, is essential; experience with GCP or Azure is also acceptable.
  • You should have experience integrating with application teams to ensure infrastructure meets user needs.
  • Knowledge of performance optimization strategies in Kafka or messaging platforms is required.
  • Experience working in Kubernetes (K8s) and containerized environments is necessary.
  • Familiarity with observability tools and metrics for monitoring is expected.
  • A demonstrated MVP-based and incremental approach to development is important.
  • Strong English skills (B2+) are required.
