Description:
PayPay is seeking a Cloud Platform Engineer for its Cloud Based payment system.
The role involves engineering Cloud Infrastructure Platforms to ensure a robust, reliable, and cost-efficient platform for a growing customer base.
Primary responsibilities include architecting and building a scalable and stable infrastructure, ensuring maintainability during patching and upgrades without downtime, and implementing AWS regional level failure tolerance.
The engineer will collaborate with Security Engineers to provision a secure infrastructure and automate AWS deployments for fast delivery of cloud services to developers.
The tech stack includes various AWS services such as VPC, EC2, ECS, EKS, Lambda, and others, along with tools like Terraform, Github Actions, Prometheus, and Grafana.
Requirements:
Candidates must have more than 8 years of technical experience in cloud-based infrastructure platforms.
Extensive hands-on experience with AWS computing, storage, and analytical services is required.
Proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as Python, Shell Scripting, Go, and Rust is necessary.
Experience with infrastructure as code (IAC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, and CDK is essential.
Candidates should be proficient in Linux internals and system administration.
Experience in managing production-level infrastructure changes for high traffic and business-critical systems is required.
A strong understanding of cloud security best practices and payment industry compliance standards is necessary.
Candidates must demonstrate a high degree of ownership in a production environment, including incident management and cross-team collaboration.
Familiarity with cloud services monitoring, detection, response, performance tuning, and cost control is required.
Good understanding and experience with network, especially on cloud platforms, is necessary.
Experience in AI/ML infrastructure design and operations is preferred.
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills are required, with proficiency in either English or Japanese.

Work hours are flexible with no core time, typically from 9:00 am to 5:45 pm, including a 1-hour break.

Paid leave includes up to 14 days of annual leave in the first year and 5 days of personal leave each year.
The annual salary is paid in 12 installments and is based on skills, experience, and abilities, with annual reviews and a special incentive based on company performance.
