Description:
ClickHouse is seeking a Cloud Platform Engineer for the Control Plane team, responsible for administrative APIs for ClickHouse Cloud resources.
The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, highly available, and secure cloud-based infrastructure in AWS, including services like EKS, SQS, DocumentDB, Redis, PostgreSQL, and Lambdas.
Responsibilities include automating cloud infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, defining strategies for load balancing, auto-scaling, disaster recovery, and failover.
The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integration, scalability, and security of cloud environments, enhance developer experience, and assist with cloud monitoring and alerting solutions.
The position requires working with the security team to implement best practices in identity and access management, network security, encryption, and compliance controls.
The engineer will also identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering or related roles.
Strong proficiency in Typescript, Serverless, EKS, SQS, RDBMS, and Node.JS is required, with proficiency in multiple languages preferred.
A deep understanding of cloud architecture, networking, and security is essential.
Familiarity with RESTful APIs and JSON is necessary.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are required.
Candidates should be able to work independently and have proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration platforms is needed.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines is also required.
Bonus points for proficiency with frontend frameworks like React and experience with ClickHouse.
