Description:

Supabase is an Open Source and fully remote company building developer tools for databases.
The company is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to manage the infrastructure of their Postgres databases, currently managing over 1 million instances and experiencing rapid growth.
The SRE will help build and maintain the Supabase Cloud offering.
Responsibilities include improving system architecture to reduce costs while balancing security, reliability, and performance.
The role involves designing and tracking metrics for platform uptime and increasing observability by capturing relevant metrics and logs.
The SRE will implement and maintain intrusion detection, automated remediation, and patch management systems.
The position requires designing CI/CD systems to speed up deployments with proper change and release management processes.
The SRE will also resolve escalated support issues and identify and resolve systemic issues across the platform.

Requirements:

Candidates must have experience in designing multi-tenant database solutions, including failover, fault-tolerance, and disaster recovery.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or Cloud Infrastructure is required.
Candidates should have at least 4 years of experience in building with Golang and Typescript.
Experience in managing large deployments on AWS is necessary.
Knowledge of networking is required.
Candidates should have experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, with a preference for Pulumi, but Terraform/CDK is also acceptable.
Experience with being part of on-call rotations for large production systems is essential.
