Description:
The Cloud Reliability Engineer will be responsible for writing and integrating various open source and closed source tools.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of systems engineering and automation, including configuration management, containerization, and scripting.
Responsibilities include developing, configuring, and deploying tools for cloud-based systems and services.
The engineer will containerize new and legacy applications and maintain awareness of new and exciting technologies.
They will provide level of effort (LOE) and scoping for projects and support development and operations teams.
The role involves enhancing, modifying, or debugging developer code as needed.
The engineer will ensure comprehensive observability across all aspects of application and system performance through maintenance, enhancement, and detection efforts.
Participation in an on-call rotation for timely response to system incidents and maintenance needs is required.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 3+ years of experience in a DevOps or SRE-related role.
A minimum of 2+ years of experience with Linux administration in a professional setting is required.
Candidates should have at least 2+ years of experience with one or more large cloud providers, such as AWS or Google.
A minimum of 1+ years of experience with serverless architecture, including AWS Lambda or Google Cloud Functions, is necessary.
Candidates must have at least 1+ years of experience using Docker and/or Kubernetes.
A minimum of 1+ years of experience using Terraform, including writing vanilla Terraform and instrumenting modules, is required.
The ability to create CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions is essential.
Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: Python or GoLang.
Experience working with SQL and Google BigQuery is also required.
