Remote Cloud Security Architect

Description:

• We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Security Architect to design and implement security solutions across our cloud environments.
• You will be responsible for securing cloud infrastructure, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and developing best practices to protect applications and data.
• Key responsibilities include designing, implementing, and maintaining secure cloud architectures across Google Cloud.
• You will develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards for cloud environments.
• Conducting security assessments, audits, and risk analysis to identify vulnerabilities is essential.
• You will work closely with DevOps, IT, and engineering teams to integrate security into cloud solutions.
• Establishing and managing Identity and Access Management (IAM) controls and policies is a key task.
• Monitoring cloud environments for security threats and incidents, and responding to breaches effectively is required.
• Implementing security best practices for containerized applications and microservices is part of the role.
• Ensuring compliance with security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, and GDPR is necessary.
• You will research and recommend security tools, technologies, and methodologies to enhance cloud security.
• Educating teams on cloud security risks and best practices is also part of your responsibilities.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field is required.
• You must have 3+ years of experience in cloud security architecture and cybersecurity.
• Hands-on experience with cloud security tools such as AWS Security Hub, Azure Security Center, and Google Security Command Center is necessary.
• A strong understanding of IAM, encryption, network security, and compliance standards is required.
• Experience with security automation, DevSecOps, and CI/CD pipelines is essential.
• Knowledge of scripting languages like Python, PowerShell, or Bash is required.
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, AWS Certified Security, Azure Security Engineer, or GCP Professional Cloud Security Engineer are a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills are necessary for this position.
