Description:
The Cloud Services Specialist (aka The Cloud Architect) will manage and optimize cloud services to meet organizational needs and empower teams to work smarter and faster.
This role involves designing, implementing, and managing cloud environments that are scalable, secure, and efficient.
Key responsibilities include architecting and deploying cloud solutions using providers like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, ensuring systems are designed for scalability, reliability, and security.
The specialist will monitor and manage cloud resources for optimal performance and cost-efficiency, analyzing usage patterns and recommending improvements.
Security best practices, access controls, and compliance measures will be implemented to safeguard cloud environments, ensuring data privacy and regulatory compliance.
The role includes planning and executing migrations of on-premises systems to the cloud and integrating cloud services with existing infrastructure.
Automation of cloud operations and workflows using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible will be a key focus.
Continuous monitoring of cloud performance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing disaster recovery strategies for business continuity are essential tasks.
Staying updated on the latest cloud technology, tools, and trends to enhance performance, security, and scalability is also required.
Requirements:
Extensive experience with one or more cloud providers, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, is required, along with a solid understanding of cloud services, including compute, storage, and networking.
Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible for automated provisioning and configuration is necessary.
A strong understanding of cloud security practices, including identity and access management, encryption, and regulatory compliance, is essential.
The ability to analyze and manage cloud usage to optimize costs without sacrificing performance is required.
Excellent troubleshooting skills for identifying and resolving cloud-related issues efficiently are necessary.
A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is required, with equivalent experience in cloud services considered.
Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, or Google Professional Cloud Architect are advantageous.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in cloud services or cloud infrastructure management is required, with a proven track record of managing and optimizing cloud environments.
Experience with cloud migration projects and integrating cloud services with on-premises infrastructure is necessary.
Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines is beneficial.
