Description:
The Cloud Software Developer will design, build, and maintain cloud-based software solutions that enhance performance and deliver exceptional user experiences.
This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and engineers, to develop and deploy cloud-native applications.
Key responsibilities include building scalable and resilient cloud-native applications using microservices and serverless architectures.
The developer will work closely with architects and product teams to create design specifications and technical documentation.
Implementing cloud services, such as databases, authentication, and storage solutions, is essential to enhance application functionality.
The role requires creating and maintaining continuous integration and deployment pipelines to streamline development and deployment processes.
Ensuring application security and compliance by integrating security best practices into the software development process is crucial.
The developer will utilize monitoring tools to track application performance and resource utilization, implementing changes to improve response times and optimize cost-efficiency.
Staying updated on advancements in cloud development, containerization, and orchestration technologies is necessary to apply best practices and new technologies.
Requirements:
Extensive experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure, with a strong understanding of cloud-native services such as AWS Lambda, GCP Cloud Functions, or Azure Functions is required.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, Go, or Node.js, used in building cloud-based applications is necessary.
A solid understanding of designing and implementing microservices and serverless architectures to build scalable, maintainable applications is essential.
Experience with creating and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or GitHub Actions is required.
Familiarity with secure coding practices and compliance standards, such as GDPR or HIPAA, in cloud-based applications is necessary.
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is required, with equivalent experience in software development focusing on cloud applications considered.
Certifications in cloud platforms, such as AWS Certified Developer – Associate, Google Cloud Professional Developer, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate, are advantageous.
A minimum of 5+ years of experience in software development, with at least 3+ years focusing on cloud-based applications is required.
Experience with containerization technologies, such as Docker or Kubernetes, and developing microservices is a plus.
Hands-on experience with cloud SDKs, APIs, and third-party integrations is necessary.
