Remote Cloud Solutions Architect - Azure

Description:

• SAP Fioneer is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Cloud Solutions Architect specializing in Azure to join their internal IT team.
• The role involves designing, implementing, and managing complex cloud-based solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform.
• Responsibilities include a broad range of technical expertise in Azure cloud services such as compute, storage, networking, databases, security, and identity management.
• The architect will work in a scrum team, participating in sprints and managing a backlog.
• Duties include designing and documenting architecture blueprints and solution patterns for Azure-based applications.
• The role requires providing technical guidance and mentorship to other members of the cross-functional scrum team.
• Experience in building closed-loop data-driven DevOps architectures using tools like Azure Insights is essential.
• The architect will build hierarchical organization governance via “Management groups” in Azure.
• Solid experience with code-driven administration practices, including legacy Azure PowerShell modules and MgGraph modules, is required.
• Strong competencies in core web technologies and computer fundamentals such as TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, and PKI are necessary.
• The role requires experience with infrastructure as code (IaC), continuous integration, continuous delivery (CI/CD), source control (Git), and pipeline automation (GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps).
• Knowledge of modern authentication in relation to IdP (AzureAD/EntraID), SAML, OpenID Connect, and AzureAD B2C is important.
• General Identity and Access Management (IaM) architecture experience is needed to support RBAC and maintain the IdP (EntraID) as the centralized command and control point.
• Experience delivering SaaS on Azure and familiarity with SAP on Azure environments such as S/4HANA or SAP ERP is advantageous.
• Experience with tools like Jenkins, Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes is a plus.
