Description:
The Cloud Solutions Architect will design and implement cloud solutions that drive innovation, enhance performance, and enable business growth.
This role involves working closely with IT teams, developers, and project managers to build secure, scalable, and efficient cloud architectures.
Responsibilities include developing and implementing cloud-based solutions tailored to meet the company’s technical and business requirements.
The architect will assess emerging cloud technologies and recommend tools and platforms that enhance infrastructure, cost-efficiency, and security.
Ensuring security protocols and compliance standards to protect cloud infrastructure and data is a key responsibility.
The role requires collaboration with DevOps and software development teams to design CI/CD pipelines and automate deployments.
The architect will develop strategies for cost management and optimization of cloud resources to improve performance and reduce operational expenses.
Creating infrastructure templates using tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation is essential for enabling quick, consistent, and replicable deployments.
Staying current with the latest advancements in cloud computing, container orchestration, serverless architectures, and hybrid cloud solutions is necessary.
Requirements:
Extensive experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) is required, including deploying, managing, and scaling applications.
Proficiency in designing cloud-based infrastructure and using Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, Ansible, or AWS CloudFormation is necessary.
Strong knowledge of cloud security best practices, including identity management, data encryption, and compliance frameworks such as GDPR and HIPAA is essential.
Proven ability to work cross-functionally with developers, DevOps engineers, and stakeholders to align cloud architecture with business goals is required.
Expertise in optimizing cloud performance and managing cloud costs is necessary, with an understanding of resource allocation and financial efficiency.
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cloud Computing, or a related field is required, with equivalent experience in cloud architecture considered.
Certifications in cloud architecture (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are highly desirable.
A minimum of 7 years of experience in IT or cloud architecture, with a strong focus on designing and implementing cloud solutions is required.
At least 3 years of experience in a senior or lead role, architecting cloud infrastructures for large-scale or mission-critical applications is necessary.
Hands-on experience with cloud-native tools and container orchestration technologies like Kubernetes or Docker Swarm is highly desirable.
