Remote Cloud Solutions Engineer

Description:

• As a Cloud Solutions Engineer at Gurobi Optimization, you will lead the security, scalability, and reliability of the GurobiCloud platform.
• You will be responsible for migrating Cloud services to Kubernetes on AWS and Azure, contributing to Cloud monitoring architecture, and integrating new Cloud services with the existing stack.
• Your role will involve developing and testing Helm charts, Kubernetes operators, IaC scripts, and backend components.
• Collaboration with a team of software developers following an agile methodology is essential, requiring both teamwork and individual contribution.
• Troubleshooting scalability and performance issues, acting as an escalation contact for service incidents, and staying updated on the latest development tools and Cloud technologies are key responsibilities.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in backend and Cloud development.
• Master’s in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent professional experience.
• Certifications in Cloud and container technologies (AWS, Azure, Kubernetes) would be advantageous.
• Fluent in English.
• Proficiency in Cloud services (AWS, Azure), solution design, container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), Node.js or Go programming language, designing and utilizing REST APIs effectively, and identifying/resolving performance, scalability, and reliability issues.
• Good understanding of MongoDB or similar document-based databases, prior engagement with agile methodologies like Scrum, and familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools like Jenkins and Groovy.
