Remote Cloud Solutions Engineer

Description:

• GAMA-1 Technologies, LLC is seeking a highly experienced remote Cloud Solutions Engineer to support and enhance infrastructure services for high-performance computing use cases in the OAR Cloud.
• The role involves planning and engineering the customer’s cloud computing infrastructure and applications, implementing and designing server, network, and software configurations with a focus on DevOps principles.
• The Cloud Solutions Engineer will work with major cloud service providers like AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Microsoft Azure, supporting the design and implementation of cloud services.
• Responsibilities include building, testing, deploying, and supporting IT infrastructure in AWS and Azure, maintaining cloud services platforms, developing solutions using Infrastructure as Code methodology, and managing source code using approved tools.
• Development requirements include building/supporting cloud-based applications, configuring supporting services for HPC services, and leveraging Infrastructure as Code and approved NOAA tools and resources.
• Agile requirements involve ensuring participation in an agile team and performing various cloud development and analysis activities in support of the mission.

Requirements:

• BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 6+ years of professional experience with web development application experience.
• Proven work experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role.
• Experience with Azure, AWS, and GCP, certifications preferred.
• Troubleshooting and analytical skills, strong communication, collaboration, and client management skills.
• Relevant training and/or certifications as a Cloud Engineer.
• Extensive experience architecting and provisioning enterprise-level Cloud services.
• Experience migrating on-premise workloads to public or hybrid cloud environments.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance.
