Description:
The Cloud Systems Administrator/Engineer position supports the Ted Stevens Center for Arctic Security Studies (TSC), which is part of the Department of Defense (DoD) Regional Centers.
As the senior IT professional at ACT1, you will collaborate with the ACT1 IT team, the Government IT team, the Associate Director of Mission Support, and other TSC leaders.
Responsibilities include assisting with the administration of multiple government network enclaves for the TSC, including Air Force NIPRNET, SIPRNET, and a commercial government cloud-based network.
You will serve as the TSC point of contact for all IT initiatives and act as the escalation point for Tier 2 and Tier 3 issues, proposing IT solutions for the TSC.
The role involves managing user accounts on multiple Government network enclaves and ensuring proper documentation is completed in accordance with DoD and other federal regulations.
You will coordinate with internal and external Government IT departments to ensure TSC compliance with DoD regulations and provide team support as required.
The position requires setting up, establishing, and running program IT, including supporting virtual distance learning programs via various media.
You will assist and facilitate system and technology integration and help faculty and staff understand how to use various platforms for distance learning programs.
Additionally, you will support TSC activities with available IT and provide assistance to the audio-visual team as required.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in a computer-related field or a minimum of 2 years of experience with cloud-based information systems or certification in a cloud-based information system is required.
You must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience working in U.S. Government computer systems, with knowledge of DoD IT policy and regulations.
A current IAM Level 2 Certification is required, with CompTIA Security+ being desired.
A Secret clearance is mandatory for this position.
Experience or certification in Microsoft Azure or Office 365 is required.
Strong interpersonal communication skills are preferred.
