Description:
TherapyNotes is searching for a Cloud Systems Engineer to join their growing team of cloud-first technology enthusiasts.
The ideal candidate should have an acute attention to detail and an inquisitive mind to challenge the status quo.
Responsibilities include identifying and championing opportunities to automate infrastructure using Terraform and Ansible, scripting repetitive tasks, moving legacy workloads into Kubernetes, and writing excellent documentation.
The role involves supporting and improving the engineering platform and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment pipeline with technologies such as Azure PaaS, Kubernetes/Docker containers, GitHub, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and Octopus.
The engineer will discover and architect automated solutions to manual or inefficient processes and procedures.
The position requires providing escalated technical guidance and support to other technology teams throughout the organization.
Improving site reliability through the implementation of detailed telemetry based on leading and trailing indicators is essential.
The engineer must ensure all solutions and operational activities adhere to the security and operating policies established by the organization.
Identifying opportunities for improving service delivery or the health of the environment through process improvement and continual development of documentation and runbooks is expected.
The role includes providing on-call coverage for IT operational support and other duties as required.
Requirements:
A BS degree in Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent work experience is required.
The candidate must be an expert in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) strategies using Terraform, configuration management such as Ansible, and any scripting language such as Python, Bash, Powershell, or Golang.
Expertise in cloud-based compute, storage, and containerization solutions, preferably Azure and Kubernetes, is necessary.
The candidate should have expert knowledge of Microsoft technologies such as Azure IaaS and Windows Server Core/2019+.
Expertise in Linux server systems administration, including RedHat, Ubuntu, CentOS, and Debian, is required.
The candidate must be proficient in traditional and PaaS web application technologies such as Azure Web Apps, IIS, and application load balancing.
Proficiency with Agile methodology, DevOps, Scrum, ITSM, and/or ITIL principles is essential.
