Description:
The Cloud Systems Engineer will work day-shift hours in the local time as part of a global production engineering team.
mParticle is a leading customer data platform focused on turning data into insights and action for global brands.
The role involves maintaining strict production SLAs of a custom distributed application on AWS cloud infrastructure.
Responsibilities include monitoring, alerting, incident management, security, and platform stability and improvement.
The ideal candidate should have knowledge of AWS, various Linux OS distributions, communication skills, troubleshooting skills, scripting, SQL, monitoring solutions, and network troubleshooting.
The position requires being a major contributor in a small, dynamic work environment with a balance of technical and people skills.
Requirements:
3+ years of experience in 24x7 production operations.
At least 2 years of experience in Linux server administration.
Experience with Amazon Web Services (EC2, ECS, S3, etc.).
Intermediate scripting skills in Bash and Python.
Intermediate SQL skills.
Technical knowledge of monitoring and analytics tools like AWS CloudWatch, Sumologic, Datadog.
Experience with Docker, Vagrant, Ansible, Kubernetes.
Experience in maintaining a secure production environment for US-based customers.
BS in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
