Remote Cloudflare WAF Engineer

Description:

• The Senior Web Application Firewall (WAF) Engineer will be responsible for monitoring, managing, and enhancing Cloudflare WAF to protect web applications from security threats.
• Conduct audits of Cloudflare WAF configuration, identify gaps, and implement remediation actions.
• Protect web applications from Layer 7 attacks, zero-day attacks, OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities, and credential stuffing.
• Provide real-time attack data analysis and incorporate external intelligence for enhanced security.
• Generate weekly and monthly reports summarizing traffic details and DOS/BOT attacks.
• Fine-tune WAF policies, identify false positives, and suggest enhancements for accurate threat detection.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5-6 years of experience with Web Application Firewalls.
• Minimum 2-3 years of specific experience with Cloudflare WAF.
• Proficiency in managing and configuring Cloudflare WAF.
• In-depth knowledge of web application security principles, DNS security, Layer 7 attacks, zero-day attacks, OWASP Top 10, and credential stuffing.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer engineering, computer science, or related field.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or AWS Certified Security Specialty are desirable.
