Remote Co-op/Intern Developer Experience Engineer (Winter 2025)

Description:

• Fullscript is seeking a Co-op/Intern Developer Experience Engineer for Winter 2025 in Ottawa, ON, with remote work options available.
• The internship is a paid opportunity for students who can legally work full-time in Canada.
• The DevOps team is responsible for software delivery and technical operations, including writing developer tooling, building infrastructure, monitoring platform health, and troubleshooting issues.
• Interns will focus on improving skills in various languages and technologies, primarily using DevOps technologies to enhance the developer experience.
• Responsibilities include participating in project breakdowns, code reviews, and deploying code.
• Interns will help build a code delivery pipeline that is developer-friendly and adheres to best practices in testing, security, data migrations, and issue ownership.
• Interns will experience a full workplace environment, including onboarding, mentorship, feedback sessions, and collaboration with full-time developers.

Requirements:

• Candidates must be currently pursuing or have recently completed education in software engineering, computer science, or a similar field.
• Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
• Previous internship or co-op experience in a software company is preferred but not mandatory.
• Programming experience with Go and Ruby (on Rails) is considered a bonus.
