Remote Cobol Developer

Description:

• We are looking for an experienced COBOL Developer to support and enhance our legacy mainframe systems.
• You will be responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining COBOL applications.
• The role involves troubleshooting technical issues and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth system operations.
• Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining COBOL programs on mainframe systems.

Requirements:

• Proven experience with COBOL, JCL, and DB2 is required.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills are necessary.
• Experience with mainframe environments such as CICS and IMS is a plus.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential.
• Education/Experience: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience) is required.
• A minimum of 5 years of COBOL development experience is necessary.
