Description:

The Compliance Specialist - Senior Consultant will develop, write, and maintain policies and procedures to ensure compliance with SOC 2, ISO 27001, and other relevant standards.
This role involves overseeing and carrying out the implementation projects for ISO 27001, SOC 2 Type 1, and Type 2 with limited supervision.
The specialist will perform regular security audits and risk assessments to guarantee the ongoing enhancement of the security posture.
Collaboration with various teams is essential to ensure the incorporation of compliance and security best practices into their workflows.
The position includes overseeing and providing mentorship to team members, offering guidance and support to facilitate the successful delivery of projects.
The role will cover vCISO duties, providing strategic security leadership and guidance to clients.
Experience working within compliance platforms like Vanta, Drata, and SecureFrame is considered a significant advantage.

Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is required.
A minimum of 6 years of experience is necessary, with demonstrated experience in overseeing compliance programs and an understanding of SOC 2 and ISO 27001 frameworks.
Excellent communication and writing skills in English are essential, along with the ability to work independently and a strong sense of initiative.
Familiarity with other compliance frameworks and regulations, such as GDPR and HIPAA, is required.
Experience working under a start-up company/account is highly preferred.
Knowledge and experience in implementing technical controls in cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, and Azure are considered beneficial.
