Remote Confirmed Android Engineer - Monetize Squad

Description:

• BlaBlaCar is seeking a Confirmed Android Engineer to join the Monetize Squad, either in Paris or remotely from France.
• The role involves building and optimizing features that allow passengers to purchase trips seamlessly, enhancing customer satisfaction and loyalty.
• Responsibilities include designing, architecting, and developing features for the BlaBlaCar applications, collaborating with non-technical stakeholders, ensuring application quality, improving tooling and CI/CD pipeline, sharing knowledge through documentation, and conducting code reviews.
• The engineer will report to the Engineering Manager and work alongside a team of 9 other engineers, as well as being part of a larger Android chapter.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 3+ years of experience building Android apps and possess a strong engineering culture.
• Experience with MVVM architecture, clean architecture, RESTful APIs, Dagger, Retrofit, Kotlin, Kotlin coroutines, and unit and integration tests is required.
• Applicants should demonstrate the ability to balance fast iterations with quality delivery and possess good communication skills.
• A results-driven and product-oriented mindset is essential, along with full working proficiency in English.
