Remote Confirmed Frontend Engineer

Description:

• Join the Booking team at BlaBlaCar as a Confirmed Frontend Engineer to enhance and optimize the booking and checkout experience for carpool, bus, and soon train supplies in multiple countries.
• Focus on developing the BlaBlaCar website using React and Typescript within a monorepo stack.
• Collaborate with a team of frontend and backend engineers to develop, test, deploy, and monitor new releases.
• Responsibilities include maintaining the BlaBlaCar web app, creating UI components, ensuring application quality, and collaborating with non-technical stakeholders.
• Share knowledge with the team, provide documentation, enforce good practices, and communicate changes effectively.

Requirements:

• Passion for web development with production experience in Typescript, HTML, and CSS.
• Excellent communication skills, willingness to learn and share knowledge, and ability to embrace change.
• Results-driven and impact-oriented mindset with fluency in English.
• Nice to have: Experience with JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, Vue), TypeScript, Back-End technologies, Design System libraries, IaC, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, monitoring solutions, Backend frameworks like Spring, and API contract design.
