Description:

Rackspace Technology is seeking a Consulting Cloud Architect for a remote position in Germany.
The role involves providing guidance, advice, and best practices to customers during their digital transformations.
The architect will develop future-proof technical solutions for complex business problems and focus on helping customers rethink their technical platforms and application landscapes.
Responsibilities include designing and delivering innovative Proof of Concepts, establishing a long-term trusted advisor role, and delivering high-quality work through workshops, presentations, or architecture designs.
The position requires driving engagements from the architectural pillar, collaborating closely with other architects and technical consultants, and mentoring junior architects.
The architect will also contribute to presales efforts and nurture account development opportunities.
Proficiency in the German language (C1/C2 or native) is essential for this role.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate must have a proven track record in designing and delivering innovative technology solutions built on the cloud.
Extensive experience in creating Public Cloud platforms, preferably AWS, is required.
Demonstrable experience in designing and implementing cloud-native systems or rebuilding existing systems on the cloud is necessary.
The candidate must have the ability to lead architectural engagements and take ownership of successful delivery within budget, time, and scope.
Strong presentation skills to both technical and non-technical audiences are essential.
Specialist knowledge in Cloud Platform Architecture or Cloud-native Application Architecture is required.
The candidate should have an articulate opinion on the advantages of using public cloud platforms from a business perspective.
The ability to identify and resolve challenges faced by organizations moving applications to the cloud is necessary.
Expert-level project management experience is required.
Certification as a professional architect on at least one major public cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP) and/or as an enterprise architect is mandatory.
