Description:

Security Journey is seeking an experienced Content Developer – AppSec/Cybersecurity Education to join their content team.
The role focuses on creating high-impact, hands-on lessons that teach developers how to think like attackers and build secure software.
The candidate will be involved in software development, building and maintaining secure coding lessons by writing real code.
Responsibilities include defining and maintaining the secure coding training roadmap, programming immersive lessons and CTFs in various languages, and designing interactive learning experiences.
The role also involves updating existing coding challenges to ensure they are technically accurate and impactful, contributing to internal development tools and CI workflows, and collaborating with the team on system architecture decisions.
The candidate will champion code quality and security best practices across the entire stack.

Requirements:

The candidate should have experience in information security or application security, with formal security education being a plus.
Strong programming skills and a willingness to work with multiple technologies are required.
The ability to understand secure coding principles and common software vulnerabilities is essential.
The candidate must be comfortable explaining technical concepts in writing, live sessions, or on video.
Strong communication and collaboration skills in a remote environment are necessary.
A genuine passion for helping developers grow their security knowledge and an unbounded curiosity are important traits.
There is a slight preference for candidates based in Eastern Time due to team time zone alignment.

The position offers a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $135,000.
