Remote Contract Data Analyst - Indonesian Language

Description:

• Lightcast is seeking data-driven professionals with specialized language skills to support the expansion of global features.
• This role is critical in delivering high-quality data to customers.
• It is a full-time (40 hours/week), independent contractor position with a duration of up to 6 months.
• Candidates must provide their own device (laptop).
• Major responsibilities include analyzing and improving data quality of multilingual text classifiers.
• The role involves working with linguistics and engineering teams to build out new parsers across languages.
• Translating various taxonomies such as Skills, Titles, and Occupations is also a key responsibility.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, Data Analytics, NLP, or a related field is preferred.
• Proficiency in reading and writing Indonesian is required; additional language knowledge is a plus.
• A strong understanding of syntax and structural analysis of languages is necessary.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel, including vlookups, data cleanup, and advanced functions, is required.
• Familiarity with query languages such as SQL is needed.
• Expertise in rule writing using RegEx is essential.
• Knowledge of text analysis or machine learning principles is required.
• Experience in data analysis using tools such as Excel or Python is necessary.
• A high tolerance for repetitive and detailed tasks is important.
• Candidates must have the ability to follow complex instructions, navigate ambiguity, and work independently.
• An exceptional sense of urgency and time management is required.
• Access to a reliable laptop and a stable internet connection is mandatory.
