Description:

Lightcast is seeking data-driven professionals with specialized language skills to support the expansion of global features.
This role is critical in delivering high-quality data to customers.
It is a full-time (40 hours/week), independent contractor position with a duration of up to 6 months.
Candidates must provide their own device (laptop).
Major responsibilities include analyzing and improving data quality of multilingual text classifiers.
The role involves working with linguistics and engineering teams to build out new parsers across languages.
Translating various taxonomies such as Skills, Titles, and Occupations is also a key responsibility.

Requirements:

A Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, Data Analytics, NLP, or a related field is preferred.
Proficiency in reading and writing Indonesian is required; additional language knowledge is a plus.
A strong understanding of syntax and structural analysis of languages is necessary.
Experience with Microsoft Excel, including vlookups, data cleanup, and advanced functions, is required.
Familiarity with query languages such as SQL is needed.
Expertise in rule writing using RegEx is essential.
Knowledge of text analysis or machine learning principles is required.
Experience in data analysis using tools such as Excel or Python is necessary.
A high tolerance for repetitive and detailed tasks is important.
Candidates must have the ability to follow complex instructions, navigate ambiguity, and work independently.
An exceptional sense of urgency and time management is required.
Access to a reliable laptop and a stable internet connection is mandatory.
