Description:

Planet Argon is seeking an experienced TypeScript/React/Postgres Engineer for a two-month contract, providing 25-30 hours of support per week for a high-profile client in the sports retail industry.
The initial engagement will be followed by a potential extension of 9 to 12 months if both parties agree.
The project timeline includes onboarding from June 2-6, with project contributions from June 9 to August 1, and a contract reevaluation on August 4.

Requirements:

The contractor will work through the client’s backlog of bugs, feature requests, and technical debt.
Responsibilities include updating or adding functionality to the TypeScript application, using Apollo Client, GraphQL, and Postgres to interact with APIs and databases, estimating and executing software upgrades, implementing front-end performance improvements, resolving bugs, and collaborating with the Project Manager and Site Reliability Engineer on outages and security issues.
Candidates must be fluent in English and have at least 5 years of experience with a senior-level understanding of TypeScript, React, GraphQL, and Postgres. Familiarity with Next.js, Emotion CSS, Apollo Client, Redis, and Google Analytics is preferred.
The ideal contractor should be comfortable working remotely within 1-2 hours of the EST timezone and be available for periodic meetings during EST business hours.

The position offers an hourly rate of $60.00 - $80.00 USD.
Invoices are addressed monthly or bi-weekly within 10 business days.
