Description:
Synthesia is the world's first AI video generation platform, allowing users to create videos in a browser without the need for cameras or film crews.
The Assisted Creation team simplifies video creation by building an AI-based co-pilot for Synthesia, enabling users to generate video drafts quickly from initial ideas.
The solution utilizes a modern machine-learning stack, including LLMs, LVMs, and embeddings, to tackle complex problems in generative AI.
As a Senior/Staff Machine Learning Engineer, you will work end-to-end on machine-learning efforts for Assisted Creation.
You will have sole ownership of long-term projects, breaking down problems into manageable steps for iterative delivery and validation.
You will collaborate directly with the product manager to ideate and focus on solving commercial problems, shaping the product's direction.
You will evaluate your work using established data pipelines and frameworks to assess the impact of your features on commercial objectives and pivot as necessary.
You will consider the team's long-term direction, ensuring the development of engineering capabilities to address future challenges.
Requirements:
You must have prior experience training and deploying LLMs, preferably with open-source models.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in software development is required.
Extensive experience in building performant, consumer-facing applications is necessary.
Experience in both early-stage start-ups and well-established organizations is preferred.
A good level of spoken and written English is required.
