The Core Network Engineer will be responsible for designing the IP infrastructure of multi-site data centers and the GRX/IPX interconnectivity.
The role includes defining the WAN network strategy and leading the configuration of data center LAN and WAN networks.
Responsibilities also involve integrating direct and sponsored roaming agreements, tracing signaling and user plane transport for debugging, and acting as a primary interface between the Core Network team and other teams.
The engineer will support operations in deployments, performance improvements, and training.
Requirements:
A Technical Degree in Engineering or Telecommunications is preferred, or equivalent experience must be demonstrated.
A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in the telecom core field is required.
At least 3 years of experience with network elements such as Packet Gateway GGSN/PGW/DPI, direct and sponsored roaming (HLR/HSS), diameter routing, and GTP is necessary.
Candidates must have 3+ years of experience with protocols including Sigtran: MAP, Sigtran: CAP, Diameter, REST API, and BGP.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for this position.
