Description:
Broadvoice is seeking an experienced Core Network Operations Engineer to troubleshoot, optimize, and maintain VoIP systems while ensuring high system reliability and scalability.
The role involves identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving issues related to voice quality, connectivity, and other VoIP-related challenges to maintain system integrity.
The engineer will drive the implementation and management of monitoring, alerting, and tracking systems for proactive issue detection.
Collaboration with developers, engineers, and support teams is essential for effective communication and prompt resolution of operational issues.
The engineer will contribute to the successful rollout of milestone releases, ensuring smooth deployments and minimal disruption to services.
Focus will be on improving system scalability, service reliability, capacity, and overall platform performance.
Participation in the on-call rotation for incident escalation is required.
The role includes providing technical troubleshooting, documenting timelines, and preparing Root Cause Analysis (RCA)/Incident Report documentation.
Collaboration with multiple teams across the organization is necessary to ensure timely resolution of issues and continuous operational improvements.
Requirements:
A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field is required.
Proven experience in supporting and troubleshooting UCaaS/CCaaS systems, with a strong focus on VoIP technologies is essential.
In-depth knowledge of VoIP protocols such as SIP, SDP, and RTP is necessary.
Hands-on experience with signaling analysis tools like Wireshark, sngrep, or Homer is required.
Familiarity with scripting and automation tools to streamline processes and improve efficiency is important.
The candidate must have a strong ability to manage multiple priorities and competing demands while ensuring high standards of work.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with a proactive approach to troubleshooting and resolving issues, are essential.
Experience with observability and monitoring tools, particularly in an infrastructure monitoring context, is required.
