Remote [CSR] Test Automation Engineer (UI Automation)

Description:

• The role is for a QA Automation Engineer specializing in UI Automation at Software Mind.
• The position involves participating in daily Agile meetings and extending and maintaining existing test automation scenarios.
• Responsibilities include reviewing results of nightly test runs, investigating failures, rectifying problematic tests, and logging defects as necessary.
• The engineer will develop functional automated tests for new features and engage in code reviews and coverage reviews.
• Analyzing requirements for new features before implementation is essential to understand expected behavior and its impact on other features.
• The role also includes refactoring and enhancing the quality of existing automation solutions and establishing test coverage by breaking down complex business features into automation test scenarios.

Requirements:

• A minimum of two years of hands-on experience in Automation testing, preferably with expertise in UI Automation using Cypress or Playwright is required.
• Candidates must demonstrate programming proficiency adhering to coding best practices, with expertise in at least one of the following languages: JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Java, or a similar programming language.
• A strong understanding of automation best practices, Quality Assurance, and familiarity with CI/CD principles is necessary.
• Proven experience and proficiency in testing REST APIs, ideally with practical exposure to API testing in previous projects, is required.
• Familiarity with tools like POSTMAN or similar for API interaction is essential.
• Experience with version control tools, particularly GIT, is required.
• Proficiency in database technologies, encompassing SQL and/or NoSQL, is necessary.
